InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta celebrated tonight the City’s SURVIVOR RESCUER REUNION in the Windsor Ballroom. Mr. Willie Hatchett, (in center) an EMT was in this year’s Peachtree Road Race and unfortunately collapsed in front of our Hotel, cardiac arrest. Our Doorman – Mr. Eric McMillian & Mr. David Buissereth – Securty Manager, went directly to Mr. Hatchett, laying on the street pavement with one of the Hotel’s AED units and with others revived Mr. Hatchett so he could be transported to Piedmont Hospital. They all caught Mr. Hatchett in time where he made a full recovery with no side effects. Thank you to our Eric, David & Mr. Hatchett for such a successful 4th of July!! #intercontinentallife #ihggivingforgood #survivorreunion #thankyou #EMT

Last month, members of our Development Team joined our friends at ihghotels for a volunteer session during their two-day #IHGGivingForGood event. Their staff created GED prep kits for our Women’s Academy participants. The kits included notes of encouragement, snacks, notebooks and other office supplies. They also put together hygiene kits for all of our programs. It was a blessing to have IHG’s Global CEO Keith Barr participate in this event, as well! Thank you, IHG, for your support and partnership in transforming lives.

Holiday Inn Express and Foster Angels on Earth – For the month of September 2022, the management team and staff members at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft. Washington have committed to collecting donation items on behalf of Foster Angels on Earth, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of foster children. Sadly enough, when a child is placed in the foster care system, it is usually without warning and preparation time for the foster family. The majority of the time, the child arrives with only the clothes that they are wearing. Foster Angels on Earth provides a bag with a 3 day supply of clothes, shoes, toiletries and additional items based on the age of the child. For this reason, we came together and collect new Items Only. Monetary donations. And in addition we were able to gather 21 backpacks!!! As part of #IHGGivingForGood, all September I will be taking part in various community voluntary projects and fundraising for pieta.house alongside my wonderful colleagues in #CrownePlazaDublinAirport. Part of this involves the #CPDA100KM, a challenge to walk 100km in September. Yesterday evening I completed 6km in Phoenix Park – and got a lovely mental health boost thanks to the resident fallow deer! Show You Care by getting take away or dine in at Flow Café Throughout September 2021, 10% from all sales at Flow Café will be utilized to buy food items and daily necessities for Baan Kruja. Everyone is encouraged to buy from Flow Café for themselves and for their colleagues to take part in this initiative. 2. Show You Care by Donating Money A donation box during the month of September 2021 will be set-up for our Team Members and guest to donate money for Baan Kruja.
